Tooth removal
Preserving your own teeth is always our priority. Nevertheless, sometimes a tooth has to be extracted. The most common reasons for this are
- Periodontitis: A severe inflammation of the gums that also attacks the bone. The tooth is then no longer anchored well enough to fulfill its function.
- Accidents: An accident or mishap while eating can damage a tooth so badly that it can no longer be repaired.
- Wisdom teeth: If they are angled or cause problems (inflammation or pain), the dentist may suggest removing the wisdom teeth.
Our dentists can extract most teeth in our practice. Complicated cases are referred to an oral surgeon.
