Dental check-ups usually take place once a year, but the exact frequency is determined on an individual basis. During the check-up, the health of the whole mouth is examined, not just the teeth. This includes the gum and mucosa or abnormal oral habits such as grinding and clenching. Deviations often go unnoticed, but can lead to more serious problems in the long term.
